Olives

Product showcase

The olive tree is characteristic of the Mediterranean area, very widespread in Italy. Olives are the fruit of this tree and from them we obtain olive oil, a liquid fat, used in cooking and as a salad dressing.
This oil is obtained by cold mechanical extraction without the addition of any solvent or chemical product. That is why olive oil is a healthy, natural and tasty food.
If the olive trees are grown organically, we get an organic olive oil.

Its fruit, olive, is rich in antioxidant properties, contains vitamin E, monounsaturated fats and mineral salts, including potassium and calcium.

These characteristics make olives and olive oil two of the key elements in the Mediterranean diet, a nutritional model known and appreciated worldwide.

Olives taste too bitter to be consumed. For this reason, they must be treated in brine.

Wine

Italian Wine

Wine is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages in the world, already known at the time of the first civilizations. It is obtained from the fermentation of grapes, has a moderate alcohol content and, according to various scientific studies, has a beneficial effect on human health, as long as there is moderate consumption.

The world of Italian Wine is extremely rich and varied, because there are many kinds of grapes and many vineyards with different soil characteristics from each other. For this reason, Italian wine is subject to many counterfeiting attempts, using geographical denominations and images evoking Italy to produce wines that have nothing of Italian at all.

The quality of the grapes, soil characteristics, and winemaker care are some of the factors that make a wine fascinating and enjoyable to taste.

Italian grapes

To protect producers and consumers, certifications have been created to classify wines according to geographical areas and production phases. The most used are:
DOC = mark of Italian origin, today in the European DOP category. It is a quality recognition given to wines produced in certain areas and bearing the same on the label;
IGT = quality recognition attributed to table wines. These are wines obtained from specific grapes and coming from well-defined large areas. It is a trademark included in the Community IGP trademark.
